Mapuwa has changed hisher profile picture

Mapuwa is a calm Silverback and is usually a pleasure to visit. He is missing 2 figners on his right hand - we are not sure how he lost them.

He and his brother Ruzirabwoba were born into the Rugendo Family (with Humba, Senkwekwe and Kwitonda) but in September 1995 they left the nest and became Solitaries.

Mapuwa started his own family in August 1998 with 2 adult females - Kanepo and Kagofero - that he had taken from Lulengo during an interaction. He also was able to add another female to his family - Mafaze - in July 1999. Mafaze unusually has not had any children so we think she is sterile - but now she lives back with Lulengo.
